Guwahati: North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) is celebrating the outstanding achievements of its students at the National Science Day Celebration 2024 and the Anveshan 2023 Program.
Nituparna Das, an MSc student at NEHU, secured the prestigious 1st prize in the research poster presentation category at the National Science Day Celebration organized by the State Council of Science Technology & Environment (SCSTE), Meghalaya.

Das impressed the judges with his innovative research on “Self Chargeable Hydrogen Based Solid-State Cell,” earning him the top honor along with a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 3000.
NEHU Students to Represent University at International Competition
Pranjal Sharma and Nituparna Das, both MSc students under the supervision of Dr. Satya Prakash Pati from the Department of Physics at NEHU, secured the 1st position in the Eastern Zone Contest of the Anveshan 2023 Program.

Their project titled “Development of Low Power Consumption Artificial Neuromorphic Devices by Using Proton as a Neurotransmitter” stood out in the interdisciplinary research category.
This accomplishment grants them the opportunity to represent NEHU at the international level competition to be held at the University of Mumbai on March 10, 2024.
The Vice-Chancellor of NEHU congratulated the students and their supervisor for their exceptional achievements.
