North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Tura Campus, Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Lab Assistant at BIRAC’s BioNEST Bioincubator (B3I) Facility. This is a purely temporary role for an initial period of 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on performance. Appointments will be co-terminus with the project’s expiry. There is no implicit or explicit claim for permanent absorption into the University. The North-Eastern Hill University Act (24 of 1973) passed by both Houses of Parliament received the assent of the President of India on May 26th, 1973. It was published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) on May 26th, 1973 together with the First Schedule of the Act incorporating the Statutes of the University.

Pay Scale: Rs. 24,200/- per month (consolidated) as per BIRAC Norms
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food Sciences, or Life Sciences with a minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience;
OR
Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food Sciences, or Life Sciences with a minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
Proficiency in computers, including familiarity with MS-Office, Desktop Publishing, and Website Management through Content Management Systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
