North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Associate-I and Field Assistant under
DBT funded research project entitled “Assessment of silicate solubilizing bacterial biodiversity
and abundance with physicochemical characteristics of paddy fields in East Khasi Hills,
Meghalaya, for development of location specific biofertilizer” in 2026.

Essential Qualification :
Master degree (M.Sc.) in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Botany/ Life Sciences or relevant subjects.
Desirable : Experience in soil microbiology, molecular biology and phylogenetic analysis.
Fellowship :
(i) Rs. 31,000/- P.M. + HRA for those candidates who qualified CSIR-UGC NET-LS, GATE or national level examinations conducted by central Government Departments and their agencies
(ii) Rs 25,000/- P.M. + HRA for others

Essential Qualification : B. Sc. in Natural (Life Sciences) or Agricultural Sciences
Desirable : Experience in rhizosphere and bulk soil sample collection or M. Sc. in Life Sciences.
Fellowship : Rs. 20,000/- P.M.+ HRA
Upper Age Limit : 50 years
