The Indian Navy has deployed two more remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for searching the trapped miners, now believed to be dead inside the illegal coal mine in East Jaiñtia Hills district of Meghalaya.
However, the progress is slow inside the coal mine pit which is filled with water, according to reports.

The CIL pumped for 36 hours by using both their pumps and 48,60,000 litres of water was discharged.
The Kirloskar pumped for 32 hours from both their pumps and the total water discharged was 5760000 litres
The KSB also pumped out the water for 32 hours from both their pumps and the water discharge was 6336000 litres.

The NDRF assissted the naval team in recovery of the ROV entangled in the main shaft and also helped other agencies with all available resources, reports added
