Former Meghalaya chief minister and leader of opposition – Mukul Sangma has alleged that the present State Government is insensitive towards the sufferings of the people residing in the disputed areas along the border with Assam.

Referring to Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s comment on “give and take policy”, Mukul Sangma said that any resolution adopted by the two states must be acceptable to the people of the Meghalaya.

Mukul Sangma made these statements after chairing a meeting of the Meghalaya Congress Legislature Party on Tuesday.

The meeting discussed relating to the decades-long boundary dispute between Assam and Meghalaya.
