A five-year-old boy has donated Rs 1,501 of his piggy bank to the Meghalaya Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to help the government in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is not the first time that L Mayan Nongbri had made a generous contribution to the CMRF.

Last year, Mayan went with his piggy bank and became a special visitor at the residence of Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K. Sangma, and donated all his savings towards the CMRF for flood relief.
Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma was touched by his kind gesture and thanked the ‘small boy with a big heart’ for his second contribution towards the CMRF.

In August last year, when Mayan went to the chief minister with his contribution, he was blown away by his act of kindness and spent some quality with him.
A six-year-old girl Sayantika Deb from Tripura had recently donated her entire piggy bank savings of Rs 6,005 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the government in tackling the COVID19 pandemic.
To fight the COVID19 pandemic, a 7-year-old boy Rommel Lalmuansanga from Venglai in Mizoram’s Kolasib district also came forward to donate his entire savings of Rs 333 in cash and coins to the Village Level Task Force.
