Shillong: UKโ€™s greatest arena rock band, Def Leppard, is set to kick off their highly anticipated India tour this March, with Indian rock bands opening the shows in Shillong, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

Trance Effect, Indus Creed, and Thermal and a Quarter will serve as the opening acts for the respective cities. The collaboration brings together global rock icons and some of Indiaโ€™s most influential homegrown rock acts, offering local bands a platform in front of thousands of fans.

The tour begins in Shillong on March 25 at RBDSA Sports Complex, where Trance Effect will open the evening. Known for their high-energy performances and fusion of hard rock with contemporary influences, the band has established a strong presence in Indiaโ€™s rock circuit.

In Mumbai, Indus Creed will open the March 27 concert at Jio World Garden. Formed in the late 1980s, the band is regarded as a pioneer of Indian rock, with hits including Rock N Roll Renegade, Fireflies, and Pretty Child. Their music has played a significant role in shaping the countryโ€™s rock landscape.

The tour concludes in Bengaluru on March 29 at NICE Grounds, with Thermal and a Quarter opening the show. The band is known for blending alternative rock, jazz, funk, and soul, and has been a major force in Indiaโ€™s independent music scene for over two decades.

The inclusion of Indian rock acts reflects the growing collaboration between global artists and homegrown talent in India, offering local bands exposure to wider audiences and highlighting the countryโ€™s evolving rock music scene.
