Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will digitally present the budget estimates for 2024-25, marking a significant leap towards digital governance.

This shift eliminates physical copies of the Budget Speech, which will be available on the National eVidhan Application website and the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly website.

Assembly members will access the speech through tablets provided within the House.

“This measure aligns with our goal of transitioning to a paperless Assembly,” said Dr Andrew Simons, Commissioner & Secretary of the Secretariat.

He noted ongoing efforts towards complete digitalization, including limiting hard copies of business lists, questions, and motions.
These documents will be uploaded to the NeVA and Assembly websites, while legislators can submit inquiries and notices through the secure app portal.
