Meghalaya: Curfew to be relaxed from 4 am to 11 pm on Sunday

The Meghalaya government has decided to relax curfew in the curfew-clamped areas of the state.

As normalcy has returned, the district magistrate of East Khasi Hills district has further relaxed the curfew from 4 am to 11 pm on Sunday in all curfew-bound areas notified under Lumdiengjri Police Station and Sadar Police Station and their respective Outposts and Beat Houses.

On the Saturday, the curfew was relaxed from 5 am to 9 pm in areas which include the whole of Jaïaw, Mawkhar, Umsohsun, Riatsamthiah, Wahingdoh, Mission, Mawprem, Lumdiengjri, Lama Villa, Qualapatty, Wahthapbru, Sunny Hill, Cantonment, Butcher Road, Mawlonghat (excluding localities beyond Umshyrpri bridge), besides the whole of Khyndai Lad (Police Bazaar), Jail Road, Keatinge Road and Polo.

The curfew will be promulgated again in these areas on Sunday from 11 pm to 4 am of Monday until further orders.
