COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya have crossed the 500 mark on Wednesday as another 24 persons tested positive for the virus.
DHS (MI) Dr Aman War in his updates said that 24 new cases were reported which include 18 in East Khasi Hills, four in West Jaiñtia Hills and two in East Jaiñtia Hills district.

Out of 18 cases in East Khasi Hills, six are BSF personnel, two other armed forces and ten others.
Dr War informed that seven patients have also recovered on Wednesday raising the number of recovered patients from 70 to 77.
The recovered patients include four BSF personnel from East Khasi Hills district and two other armed forces.

With 24 fresh positive cases, Meghalaya now has a total of 514 cases including 433 active cases, 77 recovered and four deaths.
