The statement, issued on Thursday by the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president, said: “It (Congress) strongly demands that the original draft must be implemented in letter and spirit without any further wastage of time.”
Lyngdoh said the attention of the MPCC has been drawn into the news related to the proposed amendment to the Act to facilitate registration of visitors, where the position of the Congress party has been distorted.
