Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma inaugurated the permanent campus of the Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI) at Mawdiangdiang in Shillong on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Conrad lauded the efforts of all government officials and employees, both past and present, who have been instrumental in building and nurturing the institute from its inception to the present stage.
Conrad underscored the responsibility of one and all towards building a progressive and developed State.
Conrad exuded confidence that with better infrastructure and facilities, MATI would be able to fulfill its objective of capacity building of its employees to serve the people better.
The chief minister also said one of the challenges of governance was the delivery of policies and programmes.
