Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma has placed himself under isolation after experiencing COVID symptoms. 

Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma will take a COVID-19 test, according to reports. 

Due to absence of Meghalaya CM, the statehood day function in Shillong was inaugurated by deputy CM Prestone Tynsong. 

Conrad Sangma joined the programme virtually. 

Notably, the Meghalaya chief minister was in New Delhi on Friday for a meeting with Ami Shah and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
