Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rastrapati Bhavan along with Home Minister James Sangma and Tourism Minister Metbah Lyngdoh.
The Chief Minister apprised the President of the new initiatives and programmes which the Government has conceptualized for the welfare of the people and to accelerate growth in the state.
President Kovind expressed his desire to visit Meghalaya soon during the interaction. He also suggested to the Chief Minister to engage with officials in the State Government to ensure effective monitoring and implementation of central Government programmes.
