The candidates, who will sit for the remaining Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination, can appear for the exams from their respective districts.

The remaining HSSLC examination for Class XII students will be conducted by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) on June 8, 9 and 10.

Meghalaya education minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Tuesday said there are students, whose schools and examination centres are in other districts, and most of them have returned home due to the COVID19 situation.

Due to the ongoing situation, it will be difficult for the candidates to move back to the districts where their centres of examinations are located.

“Taking this into consideration, we have allowed such students to sit for their exam for the remaining papers from their respective home district headquarters,” he said.

Altogether 3,779 students will sit for the examination in 59 centres, for the remaining subjects – mathematics, physical education, statistics, and western music.

However such facilities will not be available in the sub-division or block level.

The minister informed that to avail this facility, candidates can download the application format from MBOSE website (www.mbose.in) and filled applications may be sent via email on or before May 31.

For Garo Hills region, students may send the application to hsslctura@gmail.com and for Khasi and Jaiñtia Hills region to mboseshillong@gmail.com.

For further information, the candidates can contact MBOSE officials TR Laloo (9436300862), M Marbaniang (9612153177) and AR Marak (9436116354).
