Meghalaya Cabinet is meeting at Jowai on Tuesday.
This is part of state chief minister Conrad Sangma noble initiative of ‘Cabinet on the Move’.
According to Conrad, it was initiated for a ‘better connect with our people’ in the districts.
It is way to understand the issues they face at their level.
The ‘Cabinet on the Move’ was introduced last year.

The first chapter of the ‘Cabinet on the Move’ was held at Tura in the month of June last year.
It was for the first time in the State’s history that a cabinet meeting of Meghalaya government was held outside the State Secretariat in Shillong.
Chief minister Conrad had chaired the meeting.
The move, however, invited criticism from several political circles.

However, the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government decided to continue holding Cabinet meetings in different districts of the State.
