Twenty-two more samples of suspected coronavirus cases in Meghalaya were tested at Barpeta Medical College in Assam on Wednesday.
However, all the results tested negative.

This was stated by state chief minister Conrad Sangma on Twitter.
Informing this Sangma wrote on his official Twitter handle:
‘22 more test conducted in Barpeta Medical College and all of them come out negative.’

Notably, after the first COVID-19 case in the State, the Meghalaya Government has swung into action to prevent secondary infection.
Earlier, another 52 samples tested negative for COVID-19 in the State.
According to the latest update by Meghalaya chief minister on Wednesday night, the 52 tests were carried out by the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Science (NEIGRIHMS), Mawdiangdiang.
Fifty tests were also carried out at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) were also found negative, and the results of the 43 tests conducted at Barpeta Medical College Hospital are yet to come out.
Earlier, 68 tests were carried out, out of which, six were found positive, and six were sent for reconfirmation.
