Keeping in view of the upcoming State Assembly polls, the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) has convened a meeting to review the examinations’ schedule in the State.

MBoSE executive chairman Pravin Bakshi on Wednesday said that a meeting has been convened at Tura, the board’s headquarters on Thursday.

“We will discuss all the issues related to the board’s examinations and schedule for the upcoming Assembly elections,” Bakshi said.

The elections to the 60-member Meghalaya Assembly will be held on February 27 and the counting of votes will take place on March 3, 2018.

As per the MBoSE’s schedule for this year’s examinations, the Class X or the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination 2018 will commence from March 7 to March 19.

The Class XII or the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2018 will start on March 6 and will conclude on March 29, 2018.

However, the practical examinations for Class XII candidates will begin on February 14, 2018.

The board examinations for Class XI students will be conducted from February 1 to February 13, 2018.

It may be mentioned that earlier, the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) released the time table for Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination on its official website – mbose.in.
