A middle-aged man in Williamnagar lost his life after meeting with an accident with the convoy of Meghalaya minister Lahkmen Rymbui.
One more man also sustained injury in the accident after the motorcycle they were travelling in met with an accident with a vehicle of the convoy of the minister.
The man who was riding the motorcycle died on the spot, the police said.
The car which was involved in the accident belonged to East Garo Hills District Executive Force (DEF).
The injured person is undergoing treatment at the Williamnagar Civil Hospital.
