SHILLONG: The 7th edition of the India-France joint military exercise “SHAKTI 2023-2024” concluded on Sunday (May 26) at the Umroi Cantonment in Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya.

The 14-day event aimed at enhancing interoperability and cooperation between the Indian and French armies, showcasing a range of tactical manoeuvres and strategic coordination.

The exercise was attended by high-ranking officials from both nations, including the Ambassador of France and senior military leaders.

France’s commandant V Seiler and India’s Sandeep Jaiswal highlighted the importance of bilateral military cooperation in their addresses.

Conducted at the Foreign Training Node, the exercises demonstrated the commitment of both countries to counter-terrorism and peacekeeping operations.
