Meghalaya BJP legislator Sanbor Shullai on Monday maintained that he is not power hungry, and left the matter related to sharing of ministerial post to his party high command.
On a report “whether Shullai was annoyed for not getting ministerial berth,” the Shillong South constituency legislator said, “I am not power hungry. I shall abide by the decision of the party’s Central leaders after the completion of two and half years term, and for me the problem faced by the people of my constituency is priority, and the rest everything is secondary.”
Shullai has been in the news on whether a rotation of ministerial berth in the NPP-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government will happen where the BJP MLA from Shillong South will replace BJP MLA from Pynthorumkhrah and current health minister A L Hek.
Starting from March 2018, the two and half years term, will complete in September.
Whether chief minister Conrad K Sangma will undertake a cabinet rejig or replace Hek with Shullai in September is still a question.
