Meghalaya’s Director General of Police R Chandranathan in a message for all the police personnel in the state said that he was honoured and privileged to have been able to lead a force known for its valour and expertise.
Chandranathan wrote this message just a few days ahead of his retirement.

In his message to all ranks of the Meghalaya Police, he wrote, “First and foremost. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the officials of Meghalaya Police for their valuable contributions and for their dedication to duty in these past three years.”

He added that Meghalaya Police achieved many great feats in these years that have gone by, and these distinguished accomplishments would not have been possible without the hard work and commitment of all the ranks of Meghalaya Police.

The letter further read, “The journey that began three years ago, started with full of dreams and now that it is drawing towards the end, the journey has been nothing short of an exhilarating and successful one.”

“I am indeed honoured and privileged to have been able to lead a force known for its valour and expertise, and as I bid adieu to this fraternity, I thank all the police officers and men for etching, everlasting memories in the most important chapter of my life”, he wrote.

Chandranathan added that it was not easy for him to leave behind the “glorious Meghalaya Police”, but as the saying goes, “all good things must come to an end”, the time has also come for him to bid farewell to all the ranks of Meghalaya Police.

“Words are not enough to express how indebted I am to Meghalaya Police and all I can say is Thank you, Meghalaya Police, for bringing smiles into my life, and for being part of this wonderful journey”, his letter read.
