Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who will arrive in Meghalaya on Saturday (July 24), will meet all the chief ministers, chief secretaries and director generals of police (DGPs) of Northeast.
According to sources, Amit Shah is likely to land in Umroi Airport at around 11 am on Saturday.

According to the scheduled programme in Meghalaya, after his arrival, the Union home minister will lay the foundation stone of the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) Multipurpose Conference Center & Exhibition facility at Umroi in Ri-Bhoi district at 12:pm.
At 3 pm, Shah is scheduled to inaugurate the Interstate Bus Terminal at Mawiong in the East Khasi Hills district.
At 4:20 pm, the Union Home Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the Cryogenic Oxygen Plant and Pediatric Ward at Umsawli in East Khasi Hills.

As per the scheduled programme, which was tweeted by the Union Home Minister’s Office (HMO), Shah will have a meeting with all the chief ministers, chief secretaries and DGPs of the northeastern states at 5:30 pm.
The meeting with the CMs, chief secretaries and police chiefs of the northeastern states will be held at the State Convention Centre in Shillong.
It was earlier reported that the issue of illegal drugs trade in the Northeast would top the agenda during Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Meghalaya.
The meeting between Amit Shah and the chief ministers of the Northeast states will discuss several issues pertaining to the region.
“Several issues including illegal drugs trade, border disputes between the Northeast States among others will be discussed by Home Minister Amit Shah with the Chief Ministers,” Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma earlier said.
