Meghalaya chief minister and national president of the National People’s Party Conrad K. Sangma has thanked the Garo National Council (GNC) for extending support to the NPP candidate for Tura Lok Sabha seat, Agatha Sangma.
Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma, who has been extensively campaigning for the NPP candidate for Tura LS seat and his sister Agatha Sangma, on Monday addressed an election meeting at Gasupara in South Garo Hills of Meghalaya.
Conrad Sangma said he is overwhelmed with the support from the public for NPP candidate Agatha Sangma, who is a former union minister and only daughter of former Lok Sabha speaker, late P.A. Sangma.
Stating that the National People’s Party (NPP) draws motivation from the people in the party’s mission to serve the people, the national president of the party sought support of the people of Gasupara to ensure victory of Agatha Sangma.
After campaigning for Agatha Sangma at Gasupara, Conrad Sangma on his Twitter handle on Monday said: “Thank you Gasuapara. I am overwhelmed with the support from the public. NPP draws motivation from the people in its mission to serve the people.”
“We seek your support to ensure victory of our candidate Agatha Sangma.
Thank you GNC for supporting our candidate,” he further tweeted.
It may be mentioned that the National People’s Party (NPP) decided to field candidates in all the 25 Lok Sabha seats across the northeastern States.
the National People’s Party (NPP) has also fielded a total of 33 candidates to contest the State Assembly polls in Arunachal Pradesh where the Lok Sabha polls will also be held simultaneously in single phase on April 11, 2019.
