The central government has approved a project for setting up of Cattle Feed Plant in Meghalaya.
Chief minister Conrad K Sangma tweeted on Wednesday that the department of animal husbandry and veterinary, the Government of India has approved a project for establishing the Cattle Feed Plant with 150 tons per day capacity in Meghalaya at Rs 65.65 crore.
“It will become the hub for cattle feed manufacturing in the NE,” he said.
The Meghalaya government had last year submitted the DPR to the Centre on the need to set up one cattle feed mill in Ri Bhoi district.
This will boost cattle rearing in the state.
