“Whatever natural resources are around us, we should save them, bring them back to their actual form. In this lies the interests of all of us; interests of the world,” Modi added.

The river in Meghalaya is Umngot, 100 km from Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya.

While sharing the picture of the boat, the Jal Shakti Ministry tweeted: “One of the cleanest rivers in the world. It is in India. River Umngot, 100 Kms from Shillong, in Meghalaya state. It seems as if the boat is in the air and the water is so clean and transparent. Wish all our rivers were as clean. Hats off to the people of Meghalaya,”
