“The Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to appoint Shri Alexander Laloo Hek, MLA as Adviser to the Chief Minister of Meghalaya,” read a notification from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Appointment of AL Hek as Adviser to Meghalaya Chief Minister follows BJP’s allegation that chief minister Conrad Sangma had dropped Hek from the state cabinet ‘unilaterally’.

“Before sacking me from the cabinet, the chief minister should have spoken to me,” Hek had said.
