Arunachal Pradesh Patient Guest House near NEGRIHMS in Shillong made functional

The Arunachal Pradesh Patient Guest House (Hotel Regalia) near NEIGRIHMS, Shillong has been made functional with effect from Saturday (October 2, 2021).

A notification in this regard has been issued by Sadhana Deori, secretary to the General Administration Department of Arunachal Pradesh.

According to the notification, the patient guest house shall accommodate only patients from Arunachal Pradesh and their attendants visiting NEIGRIHMS for treatment on referral by making prior booking through the Deputy Resident Commissioner, Shillong.

In order to book rooms in the guest house, one will have to submit the following mandatory details:

a) Referral letter/document from Government or Empanelled Hospitals

b) CMAAY Registration Card.

c) Identity Card of the patient and attendant.

“Allotment will be made only for 7 days and may be extended for another 3 days on the request of the patient or attendants,” according to the notification, issued by IAS officer Sadhana Deori.

“If the patient is required to stay more than 10 days for continuing medical treatment, they have to submit recommendations from the attending doctor to this effect,” it said.

The patients and attendant occupying the rooms shall have to pay room rent at subsidized rates fixed by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Meals will also be available in the guest house at a nominal rate.

Subsidiary kitchen for self-cooking is also available on request.

All the rules and regulations notified by the Arunachal Pradesh Patient Guest House (Hotel Regalia) shall have to be mandatorily followed by the patients and attendants at all times during their stay in the Guest House.

According to the notification, the Deputy Resident Commissioner, Shillong can be contacted at 9436961622; Arunachal Pradesh Patient Guest House (Hotel Regalia) at 7641037388 / 8416050984 and the Medical Social Worker (CMAAY) in-charge, NEGRIHMS will be available at 8974878930.

While sharing the notification on his Twitter handle, Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu wrote: “To facilitate patients from Arunachal, State Govt has taken a 25 room Guest House (Hotel Regalia) outside NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. Food & lodging facilities are available at subsidized rate for patients & attendants in this fully functional patient guest house wef October 2, 2021.”
