Air Deccan is all set to spread its wings and start its services from the Shillong airport located at Umroi from Thursday.
An official said that test flights would be conducted on Thursday and the first flight from Agartala to Shillong will land at the airport at 10 AM on the same day.

On Thursday itself, at 10:25 am, a flight would take off from Shillong to Dimapur and another fight from Dimapur would land in Shillong at 12:30 pm.
Another flight from Shillong airport would leave on Thursday for Agartala at 12:45 pm.
Senior officials of the Air Deccan will be present on the occasion.
Under the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme, the Shillong airport will be connected with Agartala, Aizawl, Dimapur, Imphal and Silchar.
Under the government’s UDAN regional connectivity scheme, air fares are capped at Rs 2,500 per person for an hour’s flight to tier-2 and tier-3 cities and the government will provide subsidy for flying with such low fares.
