Noted Assam actor Adil Hussain, is all set to act in his first Khasi language feature film.
He will star in Wanphrang Diengdoh’s film Lorni, which deals with the things of cultural value that are disappearing from Shillong.
Speaking about the film, Adil Hussain said, “The name of the film is Lorni in Khasi. In English, it’s called Flaneur. Lorni in Khasi means that someone who tries to find out what’s going on… It’s a story of a private investigator who gets no job in Shillong. So he waits for someone would come asking for little things.”
Hussain also conducted a workshop in Shillong with the co-actors of the film. The film will be shot from July 15 in various locations in Shillong and neighbouring areas.
This is director Wanphrang Diengdoh’s first feature film who is known for his documentaries.
His two latest films ‘Aahare Mon’ and ‘Maati’ in Bengali have also been accepted well by the viewers and critics.
