Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K. Sangma on Tuesday visited his adopted school – Shohphria Govt. L. P. School, Nongstoin in West Khasi Hills.
Chief minister Conrad Sangma was accompanied by Meghalaya tourism minister Metbah Lyngdoh and local MLA Macmillan Byrsat during his visit.

Earlier this year, the Meghalaya CM adopted the school and had sanctioned one-and-half-month salary amounting to Rs. 3 lakh for its renovation.
He interacted with the students of the school and the teachers and has assured to improve the functioning of the school with better facilities.
The CM took the opportunity to urge other ministers, MLAs and bureaucrats to follow suit and adopt school and better its infrastructure facilities.

The Meghalaya CM also shared some images of his visit to the school on his Twitter handle.
