Conrad took to Twitter to apprise about his visit.

He also exuded confidence that the alternate route would allow tourists and other vehicles travelling to East and West Khasi Hills to bypass the heavy city traffic and help decongest the city.

The chief minister was accompanied by PWD secretary, P R Marwein, CE PWD (Roads), L D Suchiang and other PWD officials.
