The NFR, while sharing a few images of the paintings on the walls of the newly-renovated Kamakhya Junction Railway Station, on its Twitter handle, stated: “Walls of Kamakhya station beautified with Manuscript paintings that Assam is well known for.”

Informing that the style of painting in the walls consists of illustrations of mythological stories from the Bhagavata and Puranas, the NFR stated that the paintings have drawn attention and praise from the pilgrims who come to visit the Kamakhya Temple, which is one of the Shaktipeethas in India.

“This style of painting which consist of illustrations of mythological stories from the Bhagavata and Puranas, have drawn lot of praise from pilgrims who visit the Shaktipeeth,” the NFR further tweeted.
