The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) authorities have recently taken several initiatives to beautify and develop the railway stations under it.

As part of the initiatives, the NFR authorities have beautified the Kamakhya Junction Railway Station in Guwahati, the capital city of Assam, by painting the walls of the station.

There are now manuscript paintings on the walls of Kamakhya Junction Railway Station.

Informing that the style of painting in the walls consists of illustrations of mythological stories from the Bhagavata and Puranas, the NFR stated that the paintings have drawn attention and praise from the pilgrims who come to visit the Kamakhya Temple, which is one of the Shaktipeethas in India.

Kamakhya Railway Station is situated just near the Kamakhya Railway Station in Guwahati.

“This style of painting which consist of illustrations of mythological stories from the Bhagavata and Puranas, have drawn lot of praise from pilgrims who visit the Shaktipeeth,” the NFR further tweeted.
