Priyanka Chopra has said that someone from the northeast should have played Mary Kom as she looks nothing like her.
Although the movie Mary Kom was a hit, Priyanka felt that the role should have been played by someone who belonged to the northeast.
She said that while playing Mary Kom’s role, she was sceptical because Kom was a living, breathing icon and she made a place for so many female athletes.
She added that she did not look like Mary Kom as the athlete was from the Northeast while she was from the north.
