NEW DELHI: In a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre of neglecting the escalating crisis in Manipur.

Speaking at the Lok Sabha in Parliament on Monday (July 01), Rahul Gandhi stated, โ€œManipur is embroiled in a civil war, but it seems that for our Prime Minister and home minister, Manipur doesn’t even exist.โ€

He added: โ€œThey (BJP government led by Narendra Modi) have allowed the state (Manipur) to burn for over a year.โ€

He directly blamed the governmentโ€™s policies for exacerbating the unrest in Manipur.
