The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Manipur has increased to 3982, officials said on Wednesday.
Of which, 2231 of them have discharged from COVID care facility after recovery while 1739 are active cases.

Informing this, the Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, additional director and spokesperson of the state Health department in an official press release on Wednesday said, there is no report death so far adding the cumulative number of deaths is 12.
In the past 24 hours, 34 (19 males, 14 females) perspns from general population and and 7 personnel from central armed police force were confirmed as new COVID 19 positive cases,it stated.
They were confirmed at VRDLs of RIMS, Babina diagnositic and other testing centres and they are from the districts of Imphal West,Imphal East,Thoubal,Churachandpur,Noney ,Kakching and Kamjong.

They are being shifted to the COVID care facilities and all necessary medical precautionary measures are in place,it added
In the past 24 hours, 76 persons were discharged,it said adding that the recovery rate is 56.02 percent.
In another development, the state government has constituted a 24X7 hospitalization helpline number through State Health Agency (SHA), it added.In the past 3 days, SHA attended to more than 250 cases.
