With 19 more new cases, the total number of persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur has increased to 385 while the number of active cases is 308, official sources said on Friday.

So far 77 people have recovered and discharged from hospitals.

Last night, 19 persons tested positive for COVID-19 at the Virus Research and Diagnosis Laboratories of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (17) and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (2), a release issued by the COVID19 common control room in Imphal said.

Imphal East, Kangpokpi, Tamenglong, Noney have reported one case each while Imphal West reported two cases.

Ukhrul recorded four and Kakching reported nine positive cases.

Informing that they will be shifted to COVID Care facilities in Imphal, the release further added that the concerned district authorities have taken up all necessary precautionary measures.

The total number of active cases has increased to 312. So far 77 (including 4 from RIMS today) have recovered and discharged from hospitals.

As on Friday, around 22,202 were tested for COVID-19 in the state while 2, 65,336 persons were screened at various screening centres opened at the entry points of Manipur.

A total of 20,658 persons are at quarantine centres in the state while 18,204 of them completed quarantines.
