Manipur Works Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh urged the youths to strive hard to achieve their goals and bring changes in the society while attending the Sapphire Jubilee Celebration of Keithelmanbi Youth Association at Brigadier Sirohi ground at Keithelmanbi village under Kangpokpi district.

Speaking as the chief guest at the celebration, the Minister said that the youth should play a significant role in the society to ‘touch the hearts to be remembered by the generations to come as our forefathers did’.

They should amplify both mental and physical energy to bring changes in the society and inherit good values for nation building, he said.

Biswajit further said education is the backbone of the society and the youths should work hard with a positive thought to achieve their goals.

He said the present government is continuously striving to bring new developments in the State.

Speaking on the memorandum submitted by the people, the Minister assured that the roads will be black-topped at the earliest and new lanes will also be marked for smooth connectivity.

Households without electricity in and around Keithelmanbi will also be electrified free of cost in consultation with the local MLA, he added.

The minister also elaborated on the benefits of Saubhagya and Ujawala schemes.

Attended the celebration, State Social Welfare Minister Nemcha Kipgen said that youths are the pillar of the nation and all need to have a collective mind set involving youth, women and the elders to bring development in the society.
