Surajkumar raised questions regarding the actions taken by the officials, arguing that he was simply seeking to exercise his fundamental rights as a voter.
Surajkumar recounted when officials inside the polling station failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the alleged pre-casting of his vote. This alleged irregularity led to some individuals entering the polling station and causing damage to the EVM in protest against what they perceived as electoral injustice.
Surajkumar clarified that no harm was intended towards the polling officials during the incident, attributing the turmoil to their alleged negligence in adhering to electoral guidelines.

Surajkumar further added that several voters remained unable to cast their ballots.
Furthermore, he said that a formal complaint had been lodged with the deputy commissioner of Imphal East.
