The Manipur CM expressed concern over the politicization of certain issues, stating, “There are elements which are politicizing certain issues that cannot be immediately handled now. I appeal to all not to engage in such activities.”

Addressing concerns raised by Manipur Congress MLA Ranjit Singh regarding the ongoing violence despite the deployment of over 38,000 state forces, CM Biren Singh revealed that an investigation is underway, led by a retired Supreme Court judge.

He said that the findings would help identify lapses that contributed to the unrest, with responsibility to be assigned based on the inquiry’s conclusions.
