Imphal: Three Meitei were missing after they went to participate in a Staff Selection Commission (SSC) General Duty recruitment physical test organized by the Assam Rifles in New Keithelmanbi/Motbung villages in Manipur’s Senapati district.

Oinam Thoithoi (26), Ningombam Johnson (25), and Thokchom Thoithoiba (27), all residents of Khekman in Thoubal district, lost contact with their families on Saturday after leaving for the physical test at the Assam Rifles camp.

According to sources, the youths may have inadvertently strayed into a Kuki village while following a Google Maps route to their destination.

A Joint Action Committee (JAC) has been formed in Thoubal Khekman following the incident.
