Kakching: Two brothers died on Friday evening in Kakching, Manipur after consuming suspected spurious liquor.

According to reports, they were identified as Yengkhom Ibomcha (82) and Y Niladhaja (74), who passed away in a suspected case of poisoning due to consuming spurious liquor.

The incident occurred during a gathering in Kakching’s Sambalei Pareng area on Friday evening.

A third person, Naorem Ibotommbi (75), is hospitalized in serious condition with stomach pains, reports stated.

Police were called to the scene and an investigation is underway. Autopsies have been performed on the deceased brothers, with results pending.
