They believe it aims to defame KNO & UPF and further alienate the Kuki-Zomi-Hmar community in Manipur.
The legislators have urged the union home ministry to consider the issue fairly to prevent further discrimination and alienation of their people.
They questioned whether the resolution was based on any report or observations of the Joint Monitoring Group (JMG), the official mechanism overseeing adherence to the Ground Rules of the Agreement.

They believe the resolution stems from animosity rather than factual assessment.
The statement highlighted the positive impact of the Tripartite Agreement on peace and security in the state since its inception in 2008, noting a significant decrease in violence in the hill districts of Manipur.
They also mentioned the recent Peace Accord with a UNLF faction initiated by the Manipur government, indicating the role played by such agreements in maintaining peace.
