Manipur tea company Forest Pick has come up with an innovative concept of environment friendly handcrafted cotton tea bags titled ‘Wild Tea Clothe’ for their various tea products.

These handmade tea bags are not only biodegradable but have also been clinically sterilized.

Research has shown that cotton tea bags are much safer to use than nylon tea bags as the later has a possibility of releasing toxic chemicals when dipped in water in addition to being harmful for the environment too.

Forest Pick is a product start-up which deals in naturally growing and marketing wild tea. The tea plants of the company are grown in the southern hills of Manipur.

Some of their tea products include Manipur Black Tea, Manipur Oolong Tea, Manipur Smoked Tea, Manipur Toasty Green Tea, Manipur White Tea, Wild Galangal Black Tea, Wild Lemon Basil Black Tea and Wild Litsea Black Tea.

Assam tea expert Parag Hatibarua has been mentoring the company in developing their superior wild tea products.

Hatibarua, who is an International Tea Masters Association (ITMA) certified tea master, has mentored many tea tasters and has also been helping many small farmers in producing organic teas in Assam.
