A delegation of Manipur State Commission for Women led by its Chairperson Prof. (Dr.) Meinam Binota called on Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla on Friday.
The delegation of Manipur State Commission for Women also briefed Governor Heptulla about the state of affairs concerning women issues.

On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti on Friday, Governor Heptulla also extended her greetings to all the people of the State.
On her Twitter handle on Friday, Heptulla stated: “I extend my heartiest greetings on Guru Nanak Jayanti. Guru’s universal vision and humanism have been an inspiration to people everywhere. Let us all unite to bring happiness in the lives of the suffering and strive for the betterment of humanity.”
She also appealed to all to follow the Guru’s teachings and work to strengthen the bonds of togetherness.
“I appeal to one and all to endeavour to follow the Guru’s profound teachings and work to strengthen the bonds of togetherness. The inspiring teachings of the venerable Guru Nanak guide us always in creating a prosperous and harmonious society,” Heptulla tweeted.
On Friday, Governor Heptulla also met a delegation led by Shantikumar Sharma, Ex-President, BJP Manipur Pradesh, and discussed about the access to quality education to the people of the hill area.
