Manipur: Security Forces seized arms, ammo and foreign currency

Imphal: A joint team of CRPF, Assam Rifles, BSF, and Manipur police raided four militants’ hideouts across three districts in Manipur, recovering foreign currencies, arms, ammunition and other items.

The operation, which took place over the past 24 hours, targeted abandoned camps previously occupied by militants.

The seized items include Myanmar currency amounting to 6200 kyats, one 9mm pistol, one single barrel gun and military gear.

The source informed that they also recovered a local projectile launcher, 11 unused bombs (approx. 1.5 kg each), 10 empty cases and fuse wires.

The raids were conducted in Churachandpur, Kangpokpi and Thoubal districts.

Although no arrests were made, the seized items have been handed over to Manipur police for further investigation.
