Imphal: Combined forces from the centre and state conducted simultaneous operations in 7 hotspots across 6 districts in Manipur on Sunday.
The raids resulted in the recovery of a massive cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives.

Sources said that the raids were conducted in vulnerable areas of Chingkheiching foothill, Imphal East District; Gelmol village, Bishnupur District; Khonghampat, Imphal West; Saivom Village forest, Tengnoupal District; Molnom Senam hills, Tengnoupal District; Wangoo Yellangba hill range, Kakching District; and Tentha Tuwaband, Thoubal District.

During the raid, the forces found a huge weapon haul concealed in abandoned camps previously occupied by armed miscreants.

However, no arrests were made during the large-scale operations.

The recovered items include a 51mm mortar, a rifle MA–3, a lathode (local made), and a magazine.
Additionally, three 51mm mortar bombs HE, five lathode grenades, and a locally made Lathode were also seized.
The security forces also found three 12-bore single-barrel guns, 159 live ammunition rounds, and 21 empty cases of ammunition.
Furthermore, the operation yielded a pompi gun, three Pompi Pipes, 12 electric detonators, and four detonators.
The forces also recovered six IEDs, 16 hand grenades with a self-made mechanism and others.
The confiscated items have been handed over to the concerned police station for further action.
