Imphal: Indian forces seized a cache of arms and ammunition from hideouts of suspected militants in Manipur’s Imphal East and Imphal West districts on Sunday.

A joint team of the Indian Army, Manipur Police, Assam Rifles, and CRPF conducted the raids based on intelligence reports.

In Imphal East, the forces unearthed a hideout and recovered a high-calibre launcher, pistols, grenades, and assorted ammunition.

Another raid targeted a different militant group, resulting in the seizure of bulletproof jackets, helmets, camouflage gear, and a shoulder holster.

While no arrests were made during the operation, police have taken the recovered weapons and ammunition into custody for further investigation.
