Imphal: A joint team of the Indian Army, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police during a search operation in vulnerable areas of Churachandpur and Thoubal districts, yielding a substantial recovery of arms, ammunition, and explosives.
Acting on specific intelligence, the joint team conducted a search operation in the Waithou Ridge area of Thoubal District on Saturday.

The operation resulted in the recovery of one MA Mk II AK 47 modified rifle, one single-barrel rifle, two 9mm pistols, ten grenades and ammunition.
The recovered items have been handed over to the Manipur Police for further investigation.
Another operation was launched in Boljol village, Churachandpur district, resulting in the retrieval of two improvised local-made mortars (pumpis). The recovered items have been handed over to the concerned police station.
