Security forces have foiled a major IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attack in Manipur.
Troopers of the Assam Rifles’ Chassad Battalion recovered as many as three IEDs and other explosive materials from near the India-Myanmar border.
The recovery was made from Kamjong district in Manipur.
Along with the IEDs, explosive sticks, detonators and safety fuses were also recovered.

“Based on credible input regarding movement of insurgents, a search operation was launched by Assam Rifles troops near Indo-Myanmar border. During the operation the troops detected and recovered the IEDs along with some explosive sticks, detonators and safety fuses,” read a statement.
Meanwhile, the recovered IEDs and other explosive materials have been handed over to the Kamjong Police Station for further action.
